Dial A Dream 61 with Slide Lube was sent to us from our lovely friends at TwistedMiss in exchange for an honest review.

The toy came packaged in it’s very own transparent box, bright pink, with girly pink writing, the Slide Lube nestled in amongst it.

The Contents of Dial A Dream

The Dial A Dream came with an instruction leaflet, and the lube, but no batteries.

Dial3

The Dial

The vibrations of the Dial A Dream are controlled with the dial seen above, giving this toy a very unique control system. This makes the controls easy to use and accessible to the user. The dial makes the vibrations speed up and slow down only.

dial4

Insert-able end

The insert-able length is reasonable and the toy is ribbed and flexible for your pleasure.

dial5

Takes 2x AAA batteries

Batteries are inserted by unscrewing the cap. The cap screws on to line up the metal strips with the batteries. This toy is waterproof, but the cap must be tightly fastened.

dial6

Slide Lube

Slide Lubricant is water-based, paraben-free, non-staining and condom friendly. This 50ml bottle came with the toy, and feels soft and slippery in your hands. Ingredients are: Aqua, Glycerin, Sodium Carboxymethylcellose, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate.

What he says

I don’t think I can really say a lot about this one. I didn’t use this with Miss K and can’t say I’d choose this one as a couple’s toy! Bright pink and very girly!

What she says

OK so firstly, I can’t imagine what the makers of this toy ‘Doc Johnson’ were thinking when they developed ‘Dial A Dream’. The name makes me think of the 90’s board game I used to have as a kid, Dream Phone, and it’s in the colours I probably used to like back then too. So based on this, I was put off immediately. The fact it makes me think of a kid’s toy is creepy, and the bright pink is horrible. The dial is actually a different idea, but the colours are tacky and still remind me of some sort of child’s toy.

I first found the batteries very confusing. I tried 2 x AAA batteries and they didn’t seem to fit, it looked like a square battery space. There’s no + or – for the batteries either, which is really confusing. When I realised it did actually take 2x AAA’s, I had to faff to get them the right way around and then connect with the metal plated of the lid when you screw it on.

I tried out the batteries and really hoped for something that would make me forget my initial experience, but all I got was disappointment. Brand new batteries made the same amount of vibration as the lowest on one of my bullets, on the highest dial! The dial did make the vibrations speed up, but the intensity just wasn’t enough to really feel it.

I warmed up with another toy, and used the vibrator with a bullet. I lubed it up with the bottle provided ‘Slide’ and tried it out. I couldn’t really feel the vibrations inside, and although the material didn’t feel horrible, the bumps and ribbed textures just didn’t do anything for me. I felt like the shape was a little too harsh and didn’t provide any pleasure. The lube itself i found to be a bit stingy. I am sensitive to lubes though so don’t trust my opinion too much on this one! It might be alright for you.

I’m afraid the whole thing was a bit of a let down for me, and although I really tried to make it work, I wouldn’t choose to use it again.

Tips

  • Use water-based lube to enhance your experience.
  • Be very careful in the bath or shower- make sure the cap is tightly closed.

Rating

This toy is really not for me, I really just don’t get it. It vibrated, and it didn’t feel horrible, so I give it 2/10.
